Practice Areas
Family
Family unity remains the most common way for individuals to apply for immigration benefits, though it often presents applicants with the most procedural roadblocks. For more on the various processes involved, consult with an immigration attorney today.
Student Visa
Learn about the eligibility requirements for the different student visas and which kind of student visa is the best fit for your situation. Additionally, if any problems arise during the application process, an experienced lawyer will be able to work on your behalf to try and overcome any obstacles in your educational opportunities.
Employment
Employment-based immigration comes in several forms, namely as non-temporary or temporary visas. Depending on the type of employment opportunity and your qualifications, you may be eligible for different employment immigration options. Contact us today to learn more about the application process, sponsors, and more.
Investor Visa
The main investor visas an individual could obtain are the EB-5 Visa for Job Creators and the E-2 Visa for Treaty Investors. A lawyer can help you with any questions you may have about investor or immigration visas and the process by which you apply for them.
Victim of Crime
If you have been or a victim of crime or domestic abuse in the U.S., you may be eligible to apply for a special type of immigration status available to victims. The two most common types of visas for crime victims are “VAWA petitions” and “U visas.” There are important differences between the eligibility requirements and benefits conferred by both.
Deportation Defense
The possibility of removal (deportation) from the United States can be a frightening experience. The consequences of removal are generally long-lasting and severe. For many, it may also include returning to a country where the person may face persecution or harm. The government does not provide non-citizens with legal representation at immigration court. Choose an immigration lawyer who will advocate for you.
Asylum
If you have a well-founded fear of returning to your home country, you may want to speak to a lawyer to see if you are eligible for legal status based on this fear either under; Asylum, Withholding of removal, or Protection under the United Nations Convention Against Torture (CAT). Our firm has extensive experience applying for all three forms of relief.
Waiver
Many foreign nationals are barred from receiving legal status in the U.S. because they are determined to be “inadmissible.” Inadmissibility is a legal term meaning that the applicant will not be allowed to physically enter the U.S. if abroad, or, if they are already in the U.S., to adjust their status to that of a legal permanent resident.
